Restless Hearts

This is a collection of short stories in the Children of Angels world totaling 5500 words. All of these stories are set before the novel Inundation at different moments in time and contain no spoilers for the book.

Camila López isn't a superhero. At least she doesn't think so. She is faster and stronger than all of the other kids, and sometimes gets in trouble because of it. Like she is right now as she's waiting outside the principal's office because she punched a mean boy in the nose. But she's definitely not a superhero. Probably. 

Years later, Marcos Castillo is having a crisis of faith. What he wants more than anything is to stop feeling broken and wrong. How to stop feeling the rage burning inside him. But he has no idea how to attain the peace he so desperately craves. He might just have to do something drastic.

After Camila finds out what Marcos has done to escape their tumultuous relationship to ease his guilt, she finds out that his leaving isn't the worst thing that could possibly happen to her. No, it can get much, much worse.
